I have a confession

Some of you may not believe this. Most of you, actually.

Allow me to preface my deep, dark confession by professing my deep love for all things 80's. Movies, music, you name it. I love it. I'd even wear neon and leg warmers if my family would let me out of the house that way. In fact, i do believe there is a board game out there called, "I love the 80's." I need that.

Here goes nothing: I have NEVER seen the movie Say Anything. Whew, it's out. I did try to lie yesterday when I left a comment for stubarnes by saying, "Yeah, I am not a huge fan of Lloyd Dobler. I know it was a great 80’s movie, but he’s a geek." Yep, I am a complete loser.

Back when Say Anything came out, I was completely obsessed with all movies that starred Molly Ringwald. I would sit at home all weekend alternating between The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink and Sixteen Candles. I had no time for anything else. By the time I realized I wanted to see Say Anything, my window had passed. I couldn't possibly waste my time watching such an "old" movie. Now, the only reason I haven't seen it is because I have three kids and barely have time to make sure my underwear are on right side in let alone watch an 80's movie. Besides, the only time I would get would be when the husband is home. I can see this going over well, "Hey honey, let's sit down and watch a John Cusack movie from the 80's!"

So there you have it. It did feel good to get it out in the open. Just so you know, I truly have felt that a piece of my life has been missing, and I believe seeing this movie would fill that emptiness.

RENT IT! It is essential to our generation of females! If I had a copy I would so be sending it to you right now!

Glad you finally confessed to living a lie. Next step is to jump on the Lloyd train!

Seriously?! Wow. I think you'd like it, since you are a self-proclaimed lover of the '80's!

I have a confession, too...I've never seen Sound of Music. I know. Crazy? And also...I have ZERO desire to see it. There. I said it.

Oh my goodness! Now I feel guilty! I hesitated for days saying anything about the font because I didn't want you to change it just because of me. But then it got to me that I was missing out on your bitchin blog! lol (can I say bitchin over here?)
And there's no better thing in the world than finding yourself home alone on a Saturday (napping kids counts) and catching a Molly Ringwald movie on cable. *sigh*

WHA-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-T??????? You run right out and rent this toNIGHT, Missy. You are not going to understand 50% of my jokes and wisecracks if you don't watch it!

Don't have time? Forget the laundry. Ignore the dishes. Let the kids cry. Get your priorities straight, sheesh!

I have to confess, I was so in love with all the 80's movies that I tried to pretend that I had seen Say Anything once at a party, too!

But I only saw it for the first time last year, and I don't even remember it coming out the first time.

It's no Pretty in Pink, Breakfast Club, or Some Kind of Wonderful, but I like it, I agree that a rental may be in order. I bought mine on ebay for 99 cents.

By the way, this is my first visit to your blog... enjoying it already!
